Shiny Dog (LTE: $11,008) is a 2018 gelding with his entire career ahead of him. So far he has started things off in the right direction at the 2021 Cotton Stakes where he earned the title of Reserve Champion in the 3YO Open Finals with a 218.5. 

Shiny Dog is a grandson of DUAL REY (LTE: $105,038.29) by NCHA money earning son War Bird Dog (LTE: $29,603.15) out of Shiny Luna a NCHA money earning daughter of Cats Moonshine (LTE: $143,580.82). 

This gelding is eager, knows his job, and LOVES to do it. His trainer says "I hold him back all through training, tell him every move to make and really make him listen to me, but at the shows, I give him his head and allow him to finally have the chance to really show me what he can do, and HE DOES! It's like a reward for him to be able to do it by himself." 

Shiny Dog is currently at Valley View Ranch in training with Jose Cruz.
