Run With the Big Dog or "Jr" around the barn is a 2017 gelding by War Bird Dog (LTE: $29,603.15), an own son of Dual Rey (LTE: $105,038.29) out of an NCHA money earning Daughter of Laredo Blue (LTE: $$296,385.02). 

War Bird Dog is currently proving himself to be a versatile producer with offspring making their name in not only cutting pen, but also the roping arena. His son, Walkin the Dog owned by Liz Herdes won the Open Heading at the AZ SUN CIRCUIT ROPE HORSE FUTURITY. After three tough go-rounds and 20 competitive horses battling it out in the short-go, his rider, Andy Holcomb and Walkin The Dog made it out on top with a combined total of 926.5. He recently competed in the American Rope Horse Futurity Association World Championship, made it to the Open Heading Finals and finished 8th. He was also the only horse to compete on both ends. 

Jr has been trained as a cutting horse and will watch one! He has a lot of natural cow to him. In addition he has been very well started on the heel side and in breakaway. Jr is well behaved and quiet in the box, he scores well, and has all the stop you could ask for. This gelding has been exposed to work outside the arena too. He has been used here on the ranch to gather, sort, rope and doctor cattle. He pays attention and works a rope very well.
